After an attempt by owner Allegra Borghese to lead a tour of the vineyard, the tour had to be called off!  But nothing stopped over 150 people from attending the DOWNrightART Opening Reception.

Pictured on the left.  Evie Kahn, Castello Di Borghese Vineyard and Winery General Manager with Carolyn Cronin, Executive Director of MA's based LuMindResearch Down Syndrome Foundation.  Through the latter Alexander's Angels supports research directed towards the discovery of potential drugs to assist memory, learning, and communication in persons with Down syndrome, and help offset the impact of Alzheimer's disease on individuals that have Down syndrome and those who don't!

 For this special celebration DOWNright included the works of two children, Kyprian Kallaur of Sea Cliff, NY, age 7,whose digital photos taken with the PhotoBooth app on the iPad2 are shown on top.  And Alexander Gomez-Nieto of Simsbury, CT, age 10 whose art teacher had his artwork screen printed unto a potholder--both were presented to Alexander's paternal grandmother as a Christmas gift and subsequently framed.
