Why is Down Syndrome Research Important?

The answer to this question was uncovered at the thought provoking symposium held at the Concert Hall.  The symposium covered topics of interest not only to the Down syndrome community but also to the community-at-large.

Presenters:
Dr. Michael Harpold, PhD, Scientific Officer of DSRTF*
Dr. Xiao-Fei Kong, M.D. PhD, Researcher, Rockefeller University Sponsored Research and Program Development
Dr. Patricia White, M.D., Director of the board of RDS Foundation*.

*DSRTF and RDS Foundation merged as LuMind Down Syndrome Research Foundation in 2014.

Funds raised by this event supported Down syndrome research.

Let the Angels In, Juliet Dolan's second benefit dance performance on behalf of the Down syndrome community at the Dance Theater, was the first for Juliet's own dance company, NuBella Productions.
